#87 - Limiting Beliefs

Limiting beliefs are negative thoughts and ideas about ourselves, which are restrictive and/or disempowering.

Limiting beliefs often originate from someone we have had contact with, such as our parents, fellow students, teachers, and work colleagues, etc.

We can create our own limiting beliefs of course, we have a mind, and the ability to think anything about ourself.

We have the free will to think in a positive or a negative state of mind and those frames can create either limited, or a life-enhancing beliefs about ourselves.

However, we should be aware that between zero and seven years of age, we witnessed our parents, siblings, our extended family, and others while in close connection with them and we heard, felt and sensed what they believed in their lives, included what they thought about others and more importantly, about us.

This could have been either positive or negative.

We have a tendency to adopt those beliefs, because they originate from what we perceive as an authority.

Part of our inner journey, our path of direct self-inquiry, is to determine -

"What do I believe in?"

"What is my belief about ..................?"

Then to look at,

"Well, what opposing beliefs may I have, about my world?"

Seeking out your
limiting beliefs

Your questioning will uncover your limiting beliefs, which stifle your possibility to create and manifest in your world.

Examples of limiting beliefs about ourselves

"I am not good enough, I give in to easily."

"I am a failure and will never ever make it."

"Nobody loves me, I am totally unlovable."

"I am way too old for this sort of stuff."

If we are limiting ourselves, we are actually denying our own beingness and our own beingness is infinite.

There are no limitations in an infinite world.

That's what we are at the core, so the moment we superimpose a limiting belief about ourselves, or about the world, upon this truth of our existence, we're telling ourselves a lie.

This is the work of the ego and totally untrue

Our limitations are disconnecting us from the source of our true power.

What is required for us individually and collectively, is to dismantle all the old programming that no longer serves us and the greater good of humanity, other species and the earth.

We then reprogramme ourselves with empowering, authentic and life-enhancing beliefs that serve all.

Think in terms of computer viruses.

The human 'hard drive' has been severely infected with the virus of learnt, conditioned FEAR, which needs to be identified, isolated and removed.

The most effective anti-virus for this infection, is LOVE.

When we deal with the virus of FEAR and replace it with the authentic and original programme of LOVE, everything changes!

Then we can go out there and create to our heart's content!

Moving from Separateness to Interconnectedness

Then sit back and enjoy your creations over and over again!
